Here is an order. It’s a 45 litre box full of laundry that we sell here. It contains a mixture of garments including trousers, shirts and bed linen and weighs about 7Kg (without the box). It is the most popular box that our customers order from us.

We’ve compared the value of our box of laundry with our competitors to deliver a similar service to make sure that we deliver the best value ironing service in the area. Here’s what we’ve found:

All of our competitors offer ironing services either by the hour, strictly by weight or by the item. We’ve found that customers prefer to fill a box and hand it to us, with no hidden charges or extras. Instead of spending time on your doorstep weighing or counting items, we save money by not handling cash and having a fully automated online system. We pass the savings we make directly to you. We give a better service, for less.

Weight guidance

1 Kg is approximately:

• 2-3 pairs of trousers

or

• 4 shirts

or

• 1 double duvet cover, sheet and two pillowcases

Box guidance

45 litres will give you approximately:

• 30 long sleeved smart shirts

or

• 20 long sleeved t-shirts, jeans, two single fitted sheets, single duvet cover, six pillow cases and a double fitted sheet

or

• 28 work shirts

Acceptable Use Policy

There is a weight limit on the boxes of 5kg for the large 32ltr box, and 7kg for the x-large 45ltr box. Filling a box without “cramming” or “squashing” laundry will almost always fall within these limits, but if you are unsure please contact us for advice or weigh your box before ordering. If you want a box full of heavy, fitted sheets for example and this causes you to go over the limit please purchase additional “kilos” during your checkout.

The golden rule is that the lid must close and you mustn’t cram the box full! But what you want ironing is up to you.

We provide our services via the box. You hire a box (£5 deposit per box) and pay £24.00 per load (for the 32 litre box, max 5kg). We collect, iron, package and deliver your garments to your door within 48 hours. To book your collection online, please visit our online shop.

Although the woodland isn’t what one would call “Extreme”, we wouldn’t recommend walking through the woods with an iron and an ironing board! If you order from us we promise that your laundry won’t be ironed in a forest or anywhere near any woodland animals, although it might be ironed by the lady in these pictures (Vicky).

• How much can I fit in a laundry box?
  • Our large laundry boxes are generous 45 litres which can fit plenty of laundry. Our extra large laundry boxes are 65 litres. We ask that you fill the boxes making sure that the lids clip down with ease. Please do not cram your laundry into the boxes. Cramming items into boxes adds additional semi-permanent creases which cannot be ironed out. There is a maximum “acceptable use” policy of 7kg per 45 litre box and 5kg per 32 litre box.

    If in any doubt, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.

• Can we bring our ironing to you?
  • Yes. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

Payment Questions

• Why don’t you accept cash?
  • For the security of our delivery and collection staff we do not handle or accept cash payments. Paying online is easy and safe for our customers as we use Google Checkout for all transactions.
• How will the payment appear on my card statement?
  • Your card statement will show: “Google * Esteam Ironing”.

Clothing Questions

• Do you accept clothing from smokers?
  • We cannot accept smoke odoured items. If we detect the smell of smoke from the clothing, we will have to decline the order.
• Do you accept damaged items?
  • Any items found to be damaged will be returned unprocessed. If you have any damaged items (including fashionable rips & tears) please let us know. Heat damaged items will not be processed as they cannot be ironed.
• Do you use starch?
  • Yes. We use starch on most items as it helps to keep them crisp and fresh. If you do not want starch used on your order please let us know (via email, telephone, or at collection).

Pay for your ironing

You can pay for your ironing using your credit card. If you are a new first-time customer then please choose the option below which includes a one-off £5.00 box hire fee. Existing customers should order using the option underneath. Boxes are 32 and 45 litres.

Coupons and changing box size:
You can apply any offer or coupon once you get to the second page of the Google Checkout process. If you would like to swap your 32 litre box for a 45 litre box (or 45 a litre box for a 32 litre one), please let us know and we will bring your replacement hire box out to you).–>

To get your ironing done, simply book and pay for your ironing online and we will come out to your door to deliver your box (which you keep, subject to a £5.00 returnable deposit) and to collect your ironing.

Step 1 – Gather your laundry

Please gather all your washed laundry and place it into your rented laundry box. If you are a new customer, a basket or bag will do; your delivery driver will bring your rental box on the next delivery evening (for delivery evening times, look at the right hand side). Your first order with us will include a small deposit of £5.00 per box (returnable in full when you stop using our service). Note that we cannot accept smoke odoured or damaged (including heat damaged, ripped or scuffed) items. We regret that we cannot work on damaged items. If you have used our services previously, please return the coat hangers for re-use. Important, please read: How much laundry can I fit into a box?

Step 2 – Book and pay for your ironing

Please book and pay for your ironing online. We operate a 48 hour collection and delivery service, 5 days a week (Sunday to Thursday), and a 72 hour service over the weekend. You will be given a email receipt of your order after payment. Collection Sunday evening -> Delivery Tuesday evening (48 hours) Collection Tuesday evening -> Delivery Thursday evening (48 hours) 6.30pm to 9.30pm After your payment has been authorised we will come out to collect your ironing on the next delivery evening. If you have a preference for a specific day, please email or telephone us after placing your order, otherwise we will come out to you on the next delivery evening. If you are new customer, we will bring your new empty ironing box(es) for you.

Step 3 – Collection from your home

One of our friendly delivery staff will arrive at your home on the next delivery evening between 6.30pm and 9.30pm. We will come to your door and collect your laundry box. Your garments are then insured from this point. Your ironing is insured from the moment we collect.

Step 4 – Processing

Our professional ironers will inspect your ironing. We iron garments according to their care labels. All ironing is carried out in a hygienically clean and smoke free environment. We use professional air filters and replace the ironing board covers for each new order. Every customer’s order is worked on individually and items are stored together.

Step 5 – Quality Assurance

A member of our management team will personally check the quality of each item from the original ironer. This ensures that our high quality standards are met and your garments are perfectly ironed.

Step 6 – Packaging

We carefully package your ironing. Each hung item is covered with a protective shirt cover and all folded items are placed into your rented laundry box. Shirts and formal trousers are hung and casual clothes are folded.

Step 7 – Delivery

One of our friendly delivery staff will arrive at your door at the next delivery evening slot (please see above for dates and times). Please make sure that you are in! You can now enjoy your professionally ironed and finished garments until you’re ready to book us again!
